(MENAFN - Arab News) After a steep decline of 55 points earlier, the Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) zigzagged with small movements in the north for rest of the trading to close the day at 7,351.28 points, up 15.06 points or 0.21 percent. Saudi stocks extended gain for the 12th consecutive day on Sunday, a longest winning streak since August 2005.
Investors remained generally optimistic as they maintained a heavy flow of liquidity SR13.1 billion, a 14 percent increase over previous trading day. Tadawul total volume set sold about 572.1 million shares, an increase of 7.2 percent from previous daily volume.
Overall performance of sectoral indices remained positive. Industrial Investment sector was at top, showing a daily growth of 3.88 percent to close at 6,574.22. It was followed by transport sector, which added 78.47 points, an increase of 2.08 percent. The Media & Publishing sector remained as worst performing sector for the second consecutive day, down slightly 0.61 percent.
All heavyweight stocks closed the day in the green territory except Samba Financial Group and Kingdom Holding which shed 0.97 percent and 0.46 percent respectively. Saudi Electricity Co. among large cap stocks remained prominent with 1.4 percent daily growth.
Alinma Bank with 74.1 million shares worth SR959.4 million remained as most active stock for the third consecutive day on Sunday. It reflected a relative market share of 12.96 percent of total turnover.
The market breadth with advance-decline ratio of 1.2:1 was favorable.
