(MENAFN) China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing said that in February, the country's manufacturing recorded gains, with the purchasing managers index (PMI) growing 0.5 points to 51, compared with 50.5 in January, reported AP.
The federation added that the increase was driven by seasonal factors, such as the lack of a major holiday in the month.
It also said that figures indicate that the country's economy may have stabilized.
Moreover, the increase in new orders, export orders and purchasing volume shows growth of production and business activity in manufacturing of mechanical, electrical and transportation equipment and machinery.
It is worth noting that the February figure was the strongest since June of last year.
