(MENAFN - Arab News) Alsulaim Alawaji & Partners Law Firm and Jones Day, an international legal firm, announced the formal launching of their new offices in the three major cities of Jeddah, Alkhobar and Riyadh, at a reception held in Jeddah on Sunday. A number of prominent businessmen and lawyers attended the function.
Jones Day's Managing Partner Stephen Brogan, who led a high-level delegation of top lawyers to the Kingdom, said: "Saudi Arabia has been very important for the firm's success. We have represented Saudi clients very aggressively for over 20 years. I have personally been working with clients in Saudi Arabia for many years and it is a pleasure to spend time with the wonderful Saudi clients whom we will be able to represent here."
He added: "We decided to make a renewed commitment in the Kingdom by opening new offices because of the importance of Saudi Arabia in the region and the world."
Brogan said: "Saudi Arabia's strategic importance is beyond doubt."
Brogan said Jones Day, with more than 2,500 lawyers and 38 offices, has a presence in some of the largest economies in the world.
The alliance between Alsulaim Alawaji and Jones Day offers Saudi clients seamless access to substantial resources wherever needed, including in every major commercial and financial center in the world.
Osama Al-Sulaim of Alsulaim Alawaji & Partners said: "The opening of the Jeddah office with Jones Day is part of our company's development plan. This plan extends our wide range of services by taking the advantage of Jones Day's expertise."
He said "We have also expanded our Riyadh office and opened a new office in Alkhobar."

Alsulaim Alawaji & Partners Law Firm is a Saudi firm established in 1990 and with which Jones Day has worked closely for a number of years.
The alliance between Alsulaim Alawaji and Jones Day represents a giant leap in the legal profession in Saudi Arabia taking it to international levels.
The alliance will provide a host of services, including project financing, mergers and acquisitions, settlement of conflicts, institutional restructuring and intellectual property.
