(MENAFN - Jordan Times) The Jordan Investment Board (JIB) bureau in Abu Dhabi has attracted investments totalling JD120 million to be implemented in the Kingdom in the fields of health, education and tourism.
Jordan's ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Nayef Fantoul, said the embassy is working to attract investments to Jordan, promote investment opportunities available in the Kingdom and to find job opportunities for Jordanians abroad, in line with His Majesty King Abdullah's directives.
According to the JIB bureau, work on these projects will commence soon. The projects, expected to include a hospital, an educational enterprise and a hotel, will provide around 500 jobs, the bureau's director "Adel Al Ali" Zyoud indicated. The bureau is currently organising meetings for businessmen from Jordan with their counterparts from Arab and foreign countries, including the UAE, in particular, to acquaint them with investment opportunities in the Kingdom, he added.
