Greece inks intl accord to improve tax management 

(MENAFN) The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) said that Greece inked an international deal to enhance the country's tax management, reported Xinhua News.

The OECD added that the Convention on Mutual Administrative Assistance in Tax Matters would let Greece work more closely with other nations to fight tax evasion.

Moreover, inking the agreement allows the debt-burden country to repair the longer-term sustainability of its public finances.

It also said that the agreement would guarantee that individuals and multinational firms pay the right amount of tax, at the right time and in the right place.

It is worth noting that the Convention is a multilateral accord that was developed jointly by the Council of Europe and the OECD, and is open for signature to all countries, aiming to endorse international collaboration in the assessment and collection of taxes, furthermore, it is an effective tool to assist tax authorities in their everyday work.
