Jordan- Man charged with manslaughter of his married daughter 

(MENAFN - Jordan Times) The criminal court prosecutor on Monday charged a 55-year-old man with the manslaughter of his married daughter a day earlier in Sahab, official sources said.

The suspect, who was not identified by police, reportedly shot his 30-year-old daughter to death following a heated argument at his home, a senior official source said.

The suspect then headed to the nearest police station and turned himself in to the police, the source added.

A second judicial source told The Jordan Times that the victim had an argument with her father because she wanted "to separate from her husband".

"The suspect got enraged, drew a gun and shot his daughter, then turned himself in," the source added.

The criminal court prosecutor issued orders for the suspect to be detained at a correctional facility for 14 days pending further investigation into the case.
