(MENAFN - Arab News) Solution provider Maham Al-Khaleej Trading Company (Matco) has announced the opening in Riyadh of its SR3 million center.
Its first center was set up in the Eastern Province.
"The EMC Velocity Signature Solution Center is designed to demonstrate exactly how the technology works in a live environment, providing a total experience of the solution and the benefits without risk to the customer," said Toni M. Prince, Matco general manager.
Matco is a leading solution provider to various IT customers such as banks. Other players in the market include Cisco and VMware.
With the SR3 million center, Matco hopes to further improve its services though partnership with EMC, which provides it with technology.
Prince said Matco's new solution center in Riyadh "replicates a framework of technology that demonstrates EMC Proven solutions approved in environments."
Havier Haddad, EMC channel manager for Turkey, Emerging Africa and Middle East, said: "The ability to support the Velocity Center Signature is at the core of our channel partner's program. It provides the tools for Matco to work more efficiently with customers, ultimately driving increased value through doing business with EMC."
Mahamed Talaat, EMC country manager for Saudi Arabia, said: "EMC customers in the Kingdom will now have the ability to experience their planned solution and identify the ROI (return on investment) before making commercial commitments."
Matco's center is designed to host a number of activities such as customer briefings, seminars and workshops; live hardware and software demonstration of training courses, and complex proofs of concept; migration planning, benchmark and performance testing; and comprehensive solution development.
The center will also provide comprehensive solutions development, live and remote demonstrations, and improvement of near-customer environments via EMC's customer integration laboratory.
The solutions are based on the strategic collaboration that combines best-of-breed information infrastructure technologies from EMC, virtualization from VMware, and networking solutions from Cisco and will focus on helping customers in their IT transformation.
