Qatar to Participate in GCC Meeting in Riyadh 

(MENAFN - Qatar News Agency) The State of Qatar will participate in a meeting of GCC Industry undersecretaries, scheduled to be held in the Saudi capital Riyadh on Monday to prepare for the 34th meeting of GCC Ministers of Industry who are members of the Industrial Cooperation Committee which will be held there on October 26.

Qatar's delegation to the meeting will be headed by Saeed Mubarak Al Kuwari, Director of Industrial Development at the Ministry of Energy and Industry.

The meeting's agenda will include a host of topics related to industrial cooperation among GCC states the most important of which being the unified rules for giving priority in government purchases to domestic products in the GCC States as well as the study of member states proposals for amendments to the Standard Industrial Organization Law and its regulations.

The undersecretaries will also get briefed on recommendations of the coordinating committee for the establishment of joint industrial projects in GCC states and the amended regulations for the exemption of national industry inputs from customs duties in GCC states, in addition to discussion of the recommendations of the 33rd meeting of the Industrial Cooperation Committe.
