Jordan- ASE rises 4.3 points upon closing 

(MENAFN - Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Amman Stock Exchange ended the past week trading with a 4.3-point rise, according to the bourse weekly report.

Index of the share prices climbed 2,023.9 points, compared to 2019.6 the previous week, with a 0.21 percent rise.

Price index of the financial sector climbed 0.66 percent, that of the services, 0.26 percent but the index of the industries dropped 1.11 percent.

Volume of daily trading amounted to USD 10.8 million compared to USD 12.1 million in the week before, with a fall amounting to 10.2 percent. Overall value of trading reached approximately USD 54.2 million, compared to USD 60.4 million the previous week.

Number of the traded stocks stood at 64.8 million, done through 22,299 transactions.

As to the sectors' share in the volume of trading, the financial sector was on top, 52.9 percent compared to the volume of the overall trading, followed by the services, 13.5 percent, and industries, 15.6 percent.

Up to 77 companies out of the 182 trading companies posted hikes of stock prices, while those of 70 others dropped.
