Oman- Indian embassy to outsource visa, passport services 

(MENAFN - Khaleej Times) The Indian Embassy here on Saturday announced that it would start outsourcing passport and visa service procedures soon. It said BLS International Services Ltd has been chosen to provide these services to the public.

The company will collect passport and visa applications, disseminate information and forms to customers, accept fees and collect and transmit data in electronic format to the embassy. It will also deliver the documents to the applicants after the formalities are completed.

The embassy said the company was shortlisted after "an elaborate and transparent open tender system." It is headquartered in New Delhi and also operates Indian passport and visa application centres in Kuwait, the UAE, Spain, Sudan, Austria, Poland and Lithuania. The company's Indian Passport & Visa Application Service Centre' (IP&VSC) in Muscat will be located at: Unit 202, Second Floor, Trade Centre Building (next to Atlas Medical Centre), Way No. 4204, near Sheraton Hotel, Ruwi. The formal inauguration of the centre will be on July 19, and the date of actual commencement of operations will be announced shortly.
