(MENAFN - Arab Times) It was a lovely warm day at the Kuwait Little League (KLL) Baseball and Softball Fields in the Hunting and Equestrian Club. At the three quarter point in the KLL season, teams are in top form after several rounds of practice and matches.
True Value Mariners 14, Warba Insurance Cubs 3
The Seniors division featured the Warba Insurance Cubs playing both Friday and Saturday. In the Friday game, the Cubs faced the True Value Mariners. With the immaculate pitching of Masayuki Matsunaga, the mariners were able to defeat the Cubs by 14-3.
Al Masakin Reds 13, Warba Insurance Cubs 11
In the Saturday game, the Cubs faced the Al Masakin Reds. In this game the Cubs got off to a fast start leading by a score of 8 to 0 in the initial moments of the game. In the third inning, the Reds brought in Saud Boujarwah to pitch. Boujarwah pitched four innings only giving up two runs. The Reds battled back every inning. In the end, they were able to defeat the Cubs 13-11.
Al Rashid Hospital Angels 15, KEO Red Sox 4
The first game of the day was pretty much one-sided game as the Al Rashid Hospital Angels trounced the KEO Red Sox by a score of 15 to 4.
Gloria Jean's Coffees Giants 10, KCMC Twins 9
The second game of the division was a hot duel of equals with the KCMC Twins out running the Gloria Jean's Coffees Giants and taking a 7-0 lead in the initial innings of the game. The Gloria Jean's Coffees Giants in their characteristic 'never-say-die' spirit, however, planned, regrouped and ended up winning the game with a walk off hit in the 5th inning, making the final score, 10 to 9 in their favor.
Mimar Consultants Braves 17, Police Eyewear Pirates 5
In the softball division, the Police Eyewear Pirates faced the Mimar Consultants Braves. The Braves were on their game and well focused, resulting in their defeat of the Pirates by a score of 17 to 5.
In the second game of the softball division, the Bioconservacion Rangers faced the Gloria Jean's Coffees Giants. In this game the Rangers, defeated the Giants by a score of 11-5.
Selem Red Sox 10, Selem Rays 4
In the Majors' division the Selem Red Sox faced the Selem Rays. The Red Sox had great pitching in their 10-4 victory over Rays.
The second game of the division saw the BSBC Padres face the ASAR Blue Jays. The Padres had their bats come to life and were able to defeat the Blue Jays by 13-3.
Selem Rays 7, Kefan Optics Indians 5
The most exciting division was definitely the Minors. Each game had the stands full of cheering parents! In the first game of the afternoon, the Kefan Optics Indians faced the Selem Rays.
It was a tough game, but the Rays pulled it off in the end by the score of 7 to 5.
Hunting and Equestrian Club cubs 10, SNR Denton White Sox 5
In the second game the SNR Denton White Sox faced the Hunting and Equestrian Club cubs. The cubs continued their winning ways by defeating the White Sox 10-5.
