(MENAFN - The Peninsula) International Islamic (QIIB) briefed students from the Department of Accounting at the Ahmed Bin Mohamed Military College about Islamic banking, accounting and financial systems in the bank during their recent visit to International Islamic (QIIB).They were received at the International Islamic bank by Jamal Abdullah Al Jamal, Assistant CEO, Mamdouh Ayashi, Assistant General Manager (Information Systems) and Mahmoud Zayat, Finance Manager.
The students were accompanied by Dr Zuhair and First Lieutenant Abdullah Al Bakhit.
Al Jamal stressed the importance of focusing on the youth because a country's future is dependant on them. All institutions - be they in the public or private sector, must support the nation-building activities, he said.
He lauded the Ahmed Bin Mohamed Military College and said the institution has contributed to the development of responsible citizens with remarkable level of discipline and hard work.
He briefed students about Islamic banking in general and the activities of International Islamic bank in particular.
Established in 1991, International Islamic has grown as one of the largest Islamic banks in the entire Middle East region. The bank has acquired modern technology and implemented it across its business operations.
International Islamic has several branches with many ATMs set up in the country.
Al Jamal urged the students to deepen their knowledge and skills in accounting, which will stand them in good stead and wished them success in their future endeavour.
Ayashi and Zayat spoke about the accounting and financial systems in International Islamic, while Dr Zuhair thanked International Islamic's Executive Management and staff members for hosting the faculty and students of Ahmed Bin Mohamed Military College.
He described International Islamic as one of the leading banks in Qatar and the region as a whole.
The representatives of visiting students expressed their gratitude towards the International Islamic bank for arranging their visit to the bank.
