Atwood Oceanics Inc wins the Atwood Mako deal

Mar 23, 2012 (Menafn - M2 EQUITYBITES via COMTEX) --Offshore drilling contractor Atwood Oceanics Inc said on Thursday that one of its subsidiaries has received a contract for the new build jackup Atwood Mako, with an anticipated starting time of September 2012.

The customer is Salamander Energy (Bualuang) Limited.

Under a 12 month agreement, the day rate for work offshore Thailand will be USD145,000, added Atwood Oceanics Inc.

Currently, the Atwood Mako is under construction and will have a rated water depth of 400 feet, accommodations for 150 personnel and significant offline handling features.
