Dell Services launches first offerings in new Dell Cloud suite for SAP solutions

May 08, 2012 (Menafn - TELECOMWORLDWIRE via COMTEX) --Dell Inc (nasdaq-nms:DELL) announced on Tuesday that Dell Services have launched two new offerings in its new Dell Cloud suite for SAP solutions, the Dell Cloud Starter Kit for SAP Solutions and the Dell Cloud Development Kit for SAP Solutions.

According to the company, the Dell Cloud Starter Kit for SAP Solutions is designed to help organisations get started in the cloud, providing customers with 60-day access to Dell's enterprise-class, secure cloud environment. The offer includes compute power equivalent to 8,000 SAP Application Performance Standard (SAPS) unit of measure, which is powered by Dell Cloud with VMware vCloud Datacenter Service and is offered with Dell's established consulting, application and infrastructure services in support of SAP solutions.

The company said users of the Dell Cloud Development Kit for SAP Solutions are provided with access to a robust 32,000 SAPS of virtual computing capacity to deploy development environments for more advanced customers who need a rich development landscape for running SAP applications. It offers a comprehensive developer environment, as well as capabilities for application modernisation, featuring Dell Boomi technology for rapid cross-application integration.

Additional Dell Cloud offerings for SAP solutions are planned to be announced later this year.
