China Mobile Ranks Top Chinese Brand

BEIJING, Aug 08, 2012 (Menafn - SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) --The Hurun Institute today released the 2012 Hurun Brand List, ranking the top 100 valuable Chinese brands, including 39 private brands. It is the seventh year for the Hurun Institute to release the list.

China Mobile Ltd. (sehk:0941 and NYSE) has been ranking as the most valuable Chinese brands for years. However, the place was taken by Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Limited (ICBC, SEHK: 1398, and SHSE: 601398) last year. This year, China Mobile rushed back with brand value of CNY 276 billion and edged ICBC to the second place. China Construction Bank Corporation (CCB, SEHK: 0939, and SHSE: 601939) remained the third. The brand values of the two banks both declined 10% year on year, respectively reaching CNY 253 billion and CNY 182 billion.
