DJ Glencore International Confirms Receipt Of Arbitration Call

LONDON, Apr 10, 2012 (Dow Jones Commodities News Select via Comtex) --Commodities trading company Glencore International PLC (GLEN.LN) Tuesday confirmed that it has received a request for arbitration on April 4 following Vekselberg's resignation from the board of United Company RUSAL PLC.

MAIN FACTS:

-Notes the recent announcement made by RUSAL in response to certain press articles relating to the arbitration request.

-Doesn't intend to comment further in relation to the arbitration due to the confidentiality obligations in the RUSAL shareholder arrangements.

-Glencore owns 8.75% of RUSAL.

-Shares of Glencore on Thursday closed at GBP4.1.
