80% of Golmud 200MW PV Station Construction Done

XINING, Aug 08, 2011 (Menafn - SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) --Up to 80% of Golmud 200MW photovoltaic (PV) power station construction has been completed and equipment installation goes along.

The power station is built by Huanghe Hydropower Development Co., Ltd. and is expected to be connected to the grid on September 30.

This PV power station is a top PV power station in the world so far in terms of building scale, total installed capacity and total floor area. The station covers 5.64 square kilometers and mainly comprises production area and the management area. Its operation period is 25 years.

The project will be connected to Qinghai grid system upon completion by connecting to the main grid nearby via a 330KV coil-out system.

The power station will effectively ease local power supply and optimize systematic power structure, therefore reducing environmental protection pressure and boosting sustainable development of local economy.
