Audi Establishes Design Office in Beijing

BEIJING, Jul 20, 2011 (Menafn - SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) --Audi announced establishment of a design office in Beijing on July 19.

Audi had established such offices in Ingolstadt and Munich of Germany, Turin of Italy, Santa Monica, etc. Inspirations from China will be added into designing of brand-new Audi models in initial stage of research and development.

Started from June 2011, design team of Audi had been working in this new design base in Beijing, which will be divided into three core parts, exterior trimming, interior trimming and decoration. Designers will directly feel leading and the latest Chinese design trend. Meanwhile, materials and features from other regions of Asia will also be absorbed.

The establishment of the Beijing design office will help better relationship between Audi and China, a manager of Audi says, because Chinese market is very important for Audi. Faw-Volkswagen totally delivered 139,130 cars in the first half of 2011.
