BRIEF: Santa Rosa organizers seeking Amgen Tour of California volunteers

May 02, 2012 (Menafn - The Press Democrat - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) --Organizers are looking for 400 to 500 volunteers to work as course marshals and perform other duties for the Amgen Tour of California stage in Sonoma County.

The race will start and finish in downtown Santa Rosa on May 13, with the route also taking riders to Windsor and to the coast. It will be accompanied by a festival in Santa Rosa on both May 12 and 13.

The local organizing committee needs volunteers to mainly be course marshals, but also to work ancillary events, such as family rides, school assemblies and contests and the festival.
