Apple China Q2 Saw USD7.9bn Operating Revenue

BEIJING, Apr 25, 2012 (Menafn - SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) --The China segment of Apple Inc. AAPL gained USD 7.9 billion operating revenue in the second fiscal quarter of 2012, and the sales volume of iPhone in Chinese market increased 4 times year on year.

Apple totally sold 35.1 million iPhones in the fiscal quarter ended March 31. The company saw USD 22.69 billion operating revenue in business concerned with iPhone, the related products and services in the second fiscal quarter, which rose 85% from USD 12.298 billion at the same time of 2011. The aforementioned operating revenue took over a half of the total operating revenue in the quarter.

iPad 2 is in great needs in China; the new version of iPad has not been launched in China mainland but is traded in Hong Kong market. Moreover, the sales volume of iMac increased 60% year on year in Chinese market in the second fiscal quarter, according to the-second-quarter (of 2012) financial report issued by the company on April 25.
