Microsoft to Sell CNY1,930 Kinect for Windows in China

BEIJING, Oct 09, 2012 (Menafn - SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) --Microsoft Corporation announced today that it would launch Kinect for Windows priced at CNY 1,930 in China.

However, the company stated that the product would be restricted to the purchase by commercial developers for application program and solution development, and would not be suitable to carry XBOX 360 system.

This indicates that Kinect for Windows could not be used as XBOX. Previously, Kinect was launched by Microsoft as a peripheral equipment of XBOX, which could realize somatic operation by the perception of user's actions by a somatic camera.

Microsoft officially launched Kinect for Windows this February, the first time for the company to apply the somatic device to PC. The company plans to sell Kinect for Windows in 38 countries and regions all over the world by the end of this year.
