BRIEF: Nestle Purina increases capacity at Hungarian plant
Aug 27, 2012 (Menafn - St. Louis Post-Dispatch - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) --Nestle Purina PetCare is extending production lines at a manufacturing facility in Hungary to meet the growing demand for its pet food brands in Central and Eastern Europe.
St. Louis-based Nestle Purina PetCare is a division of Swiss-based Nestle S.A.
The extended production of its factory in Buk, Hungary, will create 150 additional jobs by the end of the year, the company said in a statement, and will be operational by March 2013.
The company plans to add four new production lines that will double the manufacturing capacity of its pouch pet food brands, including Felix and Friskies. The facility also produces Darling, Felix, Friskies and Dog Chow dry and canned products.
