Slowdown leads to decline in sub-leasing activity

Oct 10, 2012 (Menafn - The Sydney Morning Herald - ABIX via COMTEX) --New data from Jones Lang LaSalle indicate a rise in the office vacancy rates for Australian CBDs, from 7.8% to 8.3% between March and June 2012. Knight Frank director of office leasing Scott Berriman also predicts a subdued sub-leasing market in the second half of calendar 2012, as supply outstrips demand. The deterioration has been worst in Melbourne, while in Sydney the low demand is actually matched by low supply.
