BRIEF: Rancho Cordova's ThermoGenesis reports quarterly profit

Nov 13, 2012 (Menafn - The Sacramento Bee - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) --ThermoGenesis Corp., a medical equipment firm based in Rancho Cordova, today reported net income of 1 million, or 6 cents a share, in its fiscal first quarter ended Sept. 30.

That was an improvement from a loss of 1.2 million, or 7 cents a share, in the same period a year ago.

Included in the latest quarterly results was the company's recent 2 million sale of its CryoSeal Fibrin Sealant System wound-care product line to Tokyo-based Asahi Kasei Medical Co.

ThermoGenesis said quarterly revenue was 4.1 million versus 4.9 million in the same period last year. The company cited softness in global equipment purchase activity.
