ESI announces special dividend of USD2.00 per share

Dec 04, 2012 (Menafn - M2 EQUITYBITES via COMTEX) --Electro Scientific Industries Inc (ESI) ESIO, a supplier of laser-based manufacturing solutions for the microtechnology industry, reported on Monday that its board of directors has authorised a special cash dividend of USD2.00 per share.

This dividend will be paid on 27 December 2012, to shareholders of record as of the close of business on 13 December 2012.

Nick Konidaris, president and CEO of ESI, said that the announcement of a special dividend reflects the company's commitment to return excess cash to shareholders following its recent successful patent settlement.
