Total Assets of Banking Financial Institutions Top CNY120trn
BEIJING, Jun 26, 2012 (Menafn - SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) --Total assets of the Chinese banking financial institutions had exceeded CNY 120 trillion in May, up 19.1% year on year and hitting a new high this year.
According to the 2012 assets and liabilities statements of Chinese banking financial institutions released by the Central Bank on June 25, as of the end of May, 2012, total assets of the Chinese banking financial institutions had hit CNY 120.01 trillion, up 19.1% year on year. Total liabilities of these institutions had reached CNY 112.04 trillion, up 18.8% year on year. CNY 54.77 trillion of the total assets were contributed by large commercial banks, up 13.7% year on year and accounting for 45.6% of the total. Total liabilities of large commercial banks hit CNY 51.06 trillion, up 13.4% year on year and taking up 45.6% of the total. The growth of total assets and total liabilities of large commercial banks continued to decline, and the proportions of these banks' total assets and total liabilities had hit the lowest of this year.
