BRIEF: Third suspect from Crestwood robbery caught
CRESTWOOD, May 29, 2012 (Menafn - St. Louis Post-Dispatch - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) --The third and final suspect who was involved in an armed robbery on the parking lot of Kohl's is in custody, police say.
Crestwood police said they plan to apply for warrants against the suspect for armed robbery and armed criminal action. His identity will be released if the St. Louis Prosecuting Attorney's Office issues charges against him from the May 12 incident.
Markele Prince, 17, was charged Thursday with armed robbery and armed criminal action.
Warrants against the first suspect, who was arrested May 21, still are pending.
A 32-year old female shopper was walking across the Kohl's parking lot when a green Chevrolet Impala approached her on the parking lot. One suspect displayed a dark colored semi-automatic handgun and demanded her purse. The victim complied and said the vehicle left the area traveling west on Watson Road, police say.
Crestwood detectives have been working with Shrewsbury and St. Louis County detectives, who have been investigating similar incidents involving the same suspects, according to a press release issued by Crestwood police.
