Worker killed at Galaxy plant

Nov 27, 2012 (Menafn - The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) --Australian-listed Galaxy Resources has informed the market of a fatal accident at a plant it owns in China. One person is dead and 10 more have been injured at the lithium carbonate factory near Shanghai, and Galaxy MD Iggy Tan has travelled to Jiangsu Province to manage the crisis. The facility had only been opened in mid-2012, after a delay of more than 12 months. Galaxy recently unveiled plans for a capital sourcing move worth A81m. Some four fifths of this will come from the East China Mineral Exploration & Development Bureau, which will then hold 19.8% of Galaxy. The rest of the share issue has been taken up by UK fund manager M&G Investments.
