China Mobile to Open NFC Mobile Phone SIM Card Space
BEIJING, Nov 27, 2012 (Menafn - SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) --China Mobile Ltd. is to announce the open of SIM card space for NFC-based (Near Field Communication) mobile phones at the 2012 China Mobile Global Developer Conference (CGDC) to be held on December 5.
By then, China Mobile will ally with numerous industrial organizations and enterprises to popularize the use of NFC-based mobile phones via multiple open application platforms. According to the reporter, the company will also release a new NFC-based product, mobile phone wallet (for payment on site), at the CGDC.
According to introduction, China Mobile's mobile phone wallet service is realized by the installation of different electronic card applications (such as bank card, public transportation card, campus/enterprise all-purpose card and member card) in a mobile phone SIM card equipped with NFC function to provide safety space service including application lookup, download, use and deletion. Users holding NFC-based mobile phones can swipe mobile phone in terminals.
