Volvo announces two senior management appointments
Mar 01, 2013 (Menafn - M2 EQUITYBITES via COMTEX) --Volvo AB (sto:VOLVA.ST) announced today the appointment of Niklas Gustavsson as executive vice president Public & Environmental Affairs and member of the Volvo Group executive team, effective 1 April 2013.
He will succeed Jan-Eric Sundgren, who was appointed senior expert adviser to the CEO and senior management.
Gustavsson is currently head of Public & Environmental Affairs of the company, a position he has held since 2008. His prior experience includes responsibility for environmental and social issues within the Volvo Car Group and heading several environment-related automotive projects.
Jan-Eric Sundgren has been named as senior expert adviser, effective 1 April 2013, and as a result will step down from the Volvo Group executive team. In his new role, Sundgren will represent the Volvo Group in several external workgroups and boards and will also assist the CEO and senior management on issues pertaining to the environment, technology, policies, research and education.
Both Gustavsson and Sundgren will report to Volvo's president and CEO, Olof Persson.
The Volvo Group is a manufacturer of trucks, buses, construction equipment and marine and industrial engines.
