CEO appointed at KnowledgeMill
Nov 15, 2012 (Menafn - M2 PRESSWIRE via COMTEX) --Leading email management software provider KnowledgeMill (www.knowledgemill.com) today announces the appointment of Don Galles as Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Don brings over 26 years experience in the technology sector to his new role and joins KnowledgeMill from Hewlett-Packard (HP) where he was Industry Sales Director for its Software Division.
Previously, Don has worked with some of the world's leading technology companies including Oracle, Siebel Systems and Silicon Graphics, helping these organisations to design, market and sell technology products and solutions. He has also taken a leading role in researching and identifying new technologies to address the needs of major organisations worldwide throughout his career to date.
"I am delighted to take on the role of CEO at such an exciting time in KnowledgeMill's development," says Don. "Although KnowledgeMill's technology was designed and developed within the legal sector, the need for more effective email filing and management technology spans every industry and is fast becoming a major challenge for most organisations.
"The possibilities for KnowledgeMill's technology for businesses and organisations across all sectors are clear," Don continues. "In my new role as CEO, I plan to build upon the company's growth to date and help organisations fundamentally change the way they manage their email systems to help reduce the amount of time employees currently spend filing, finding and sharing emails."
KnowledgeMill's software automatically files and manages emails and has been developed on the premise that businesses and organisations need to find more effective ways of managing their email systems. By intelligently and automatically filing all emails in a central location, the technology removes the daily pain of email management, enhances their collaborative potential and allows organisations to manage risk, security and compliance issues within the information emails contain.
Commenting on Don's appointment, KnowledgeMill's Executive Chairman Peter Norman says: "We are delighted to have an executive of Don's calibre on board at KnowledgeMill. His experience working in Silicon Valley at iconic companies during their high-growth phases is precisely what we need to propel KnowledgeMill forward.
"Email, and indeed information, overload is something which many of us seem to accept as given but organisations could and should be doing more to make email systems more manageable and collaborative," Peter continues. "Don's experience in delivering game-changing technology solutions will be invaluable as we help organisations re-write the way information is shared and value is extracted. - ends- Further information:
