China cough chills US reports
Oct 10, 2012 (Menafn - The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) --Cummins, Yum Brands and Alcoa have started the corporate profits reporting season in October 2012 in the US. While fast food chains operator Yum issued a good result and aluminium group Alcoa also exceeded expectations, the latter warned of tougher conditions ahead as a consequence of the more subdued growth in China. This was also a factor in the disappointing data released by truck engines maker Cummins. Meanwhile new research by Citigroup shows that most fund managers forecast earnings growth of an average 4.6% for companies in the S&P 500 Index during 2013.
