Veeco names CEO John R Peeler as chairman succeeding Edward H Braun

May 08, 2012 (Menafn - M2 EQUITYBITES via COMTEX) --Veeco Instruments Inc VECO, manufacturer of diverse manufacturing and development equipment, on Monday disclosed that the chairman's position transitioned from Edward H Braun to CEO John R Peeler.

Peeler will now hold both the above titles while Braun remains an active member of the company's board of directors.

Additionally, director Joel A Elftmann did not stand for re election after the expiry of his term and retired from the board after 18 years of service, the company said adding that its board now consists of seven members, including lead director Roger D McDaniel.
