BRIEF: Suspect in slaying in N. Toledo wanted

Apr 14, 2012 (Menafn - The Blade - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) --Toledo police are looking for the person they say shot and killed a Toledo man in a car where two young children were seated in the back.

Ed R. Taylor III, 27, was shot three times in the head, said Dr. Diane Scala-Barnett, Lucas County deputy coroner. The shooting was reported to police at 10:23 p.m. March 14. Taylor was in a vehicle parked on East Weber Street near Maple Street in North Toledo, police said. No motive has been determined.

The children, ages 2 and 4, were not hurt, police Sgt. Joe Heffernan said. Their mother, Kristian Scott, 24, of Toledo was shot but was expected to recover, police said.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Crime Stopper program. Callers may remain anonymous and could be eligible for a cash reward.
