Domestic Smartphone Market Sales Volume 49.8mn Q3

BEIJING, Nov 29, 2012 (Menafn - SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) --According to a report released by iiMedia Research, China saw total sales of 49.8 million in smartphone market in the third quarter of this year, up 31.1% quarter on quarter and 154.9% year on year.

The smartphones priced between CNY 1,000-2,000 continued dominating the market in the period. Documents show that during the third quarter, Samsung Electronics took the lead in China's smartphone market with a sales share of 17.8%, followed by Lenovo, Coolpad, Huawei and ZTE, with a sales share of 13.2%, 10.9%, 10.6% and 9.7%, respectively. In addition, HTC Corporation also improved its sales volume in domestic smartphone market on a quarter-on-quarter basis in the third quarter, with the sales ratio reaching 5.7%.

In terms of market shares by sales obtained by smartphones of different price, the sales of smartphones priced between CNY 1,000-2,000 took up 45.2% of the total. The ratio reached 33.7% for those priced below CNY 1,000.
