tw telecom awarded IDIQ contract from US GSA in Hawaii
May 15, 2012 (Menafn - M2 EQUITYBITES via COMTEX) --tw telecom Inc TWTC, a provider of managed services, announced on Monday the award of a contract from the US General Services Administration (GSA) for advanced voice, data and Internet services in Hawaii.
The company said that the Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract (IDIQ) is for multiple services.
Under the terms of the multi-year contract, financial details of which were not available, tw telecom will provide federal agencies located anywhere in Hawaii with digital voice/voice-over-IP services; a fully managed Business Ethernet services including E-Line Ethernet WAN service; Extended Native LAN (ENLAN) service and Private Network Transport (PNT) service.
The contract extends through December 2014 and also includes provisions for two one-year options. Agencies have the choice of ordering services through GSA or they can choose the direct order/direct bill method.
