BRIEF: Wildwood-based Peak Resorts buys Ohio ski area
Nov 21, 2012 (Menafn - St. Louis Post-Dispatch - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) --Peak Resorts, which owns Hidden Valley in Wildwood, has acquired Alpine Valley Ski Area in northeast Ohio.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Alpine Valley, located in Chesterland, Ohio, opened in 1962.
Wildwood-based Peak Resorts operates 12 ski areas in several states.
"Alpine Valley fits strategically with how we are trying to grow our business in a market that we are familiar with," Jesse Boyd, vice president of Peak Resorts, said in a statement. "We feel the resort has been well maintained, and has a lot of potential. We look forward to the close integration of the resort with Boston Mills and Brandywine resorts, which are also located in the Cleveland area."
