BOXX Unveils New Multi-GPU Workstation at Autodesk University 2012

AUSTIN, TX, Nov 27, 2012 (Menafn - MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) --BOXX Technologies, the leading innovator of high-performanceworkstations and rendering systems, today announced that the new3DBOXX 8950 workstation will debut at the BOXX booth #826 at AutodeskUniversity 2012 in Las Vegas, NV. Held at Mandalay Bay Nov. 27-29,the annual conference and exhibition welcomes design professionalsfrom around the world to attend classes, keynotes, productdemonstrations, exhibits, and networking events. The booth will alsoshowcase demonstrations of other BOXX systems hosted by visualizationexperts from Autodesk, Chaos Group V-Ray, and Chipman DesignArchitecture.

Featuring a new chassis, dual Intel(R) Xeon(R) E5-2600 seriesprocessors, and up to sixteen processing cores, the liquid-cooled3DBOXX 8950 also includes up to four dual-slot add-in graphics,coprocessor, or accelerator cards (NVIDIA(R) Maximus technology) plusan additional three PCI-E slots. The demo system at AU Las Vegas willfeature one NVIDIA Quadro graphics card along with four NVIDIA TeslaGPUs. All 3DBOXX 8950 workstations are optimized for advancedvisualization, simulation, and computation.

Other BOXX demos will include the newly redesigned renderPRO, theworld's first personal, dedicated rendering solution for 3D graphics,animation and compositing. renderPRO will be joined by the world'smost powerful single processor workstation, 3DBOXX 4920 XTREME,featuring an overclocked six core, Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 processor (upto 4.5 GHz), liquid cooling, and up to four NVIDIA GPUs. 4920XT willbe enlisted for Autodesk(R) Maya(R) and V-Ray(R) RT demos, while a3DBOXX 4050 XTREME workstation (also 4.5 GHz) will be on hand todemonstrate Autodesk(R) 3ds Max(R). The latest edition of the GoBOXXmobile workstation will support software demonstrations as well.
