BRIEF: U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio draws crowd at Greensboro Barnes & Noble
GREENSBORO, Jul 07, 2012 (Menafn - News & Record - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) --U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida author of "An American Son," drew a crowd to his book signing Friday at Barnes & Noble at Friendly Center in Greensboro.
The Republican is a popular speculative pick to be Mitt Romney's running mate in the presidential race.
The book details sacrifices Rubio's parents and grandparents made in fleeing Cuba, then re-establishing the family in southern Florida.
Within a generation, the son of Mario and Oriales Rubio was Florida's first Cuban American speaker of the House. He's now a 41-year-old senator and a popular speculative pick to be Mitt Romney's running mate in the presidential race.
