Philippine Metals Inc.: Change to Management and Board of Directors
CALGARY, ALBERTA, Dec 06, 2012 (Menafn - MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) --Philippine Metals Inc. ("Philippine Metals" or the "Company") (tsxventure:PHI)(frankfurt:PM7) announces that Mr. Feisal Somji hasresigned from his positions of Chief Executive Officer and member onthe Board of Directors of the Company, effective immediately.
Mr. Marshall Farris, President of Philippine Metals Inc. stated: "Onbehalf of the company's management and board of directors, we wish tothank Mr. Somji for his significant contributions to the companysince its inception and wish him all the best in his futureendeavours."
The Company further announces the appointment of Mr. Craig Lindsay tothe position of Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Lindsay, a member of theBoard of Directors of the Company, has in excess of 20 yearsexperience in corporate finance, investment banking and businessdevelopment in both North America and Asia and is currently thePresident and CEO of Otis Gold Corp. and Managing Director of ArbutusGrove Capital Corp., a private company offering corporate finance andmerchant banking services. Mr. Lindsay is a former resident of HongKong where he was a senior executive at The Pacific Rim Group, whichprovided financial advisory, venture capital and related services toAsian and North American clients. He was a co-founder and CFO ofOneAsia.com, an innovative B2C internet retailer of Asian languageentertainment products, which was acquired by tom.com Limited, acompany associated with Hutchinson Whampoa Ltd. Mr. Lindsay hasextensive experience in the natural resource sector at the Directorand Officer level, and currently sits on the board of TarsisResources Ltd.
