Pacific Safety Products Inc. Reports First Quarter of Fiscal 2013

ARNPRIOR, ONTARIO, Nov 27, 2012 (Menafn - Marketwire via COMTEX) --Pacific Safety Products Inc. ("PSP" or the "Company") , a leading North American manufacturer of advanced armour and personal protection solutions, today reported financial results for the three month period ended September 30, 2012.

Highlights:



--The Company reported a net loss for the first quarter of 0.5 million
compared to a net loss of 0.3 million, that included 0.3 million of
non-recurring cost recoveries during the first quarter of the prior
year.

--Revenues for the first quarter were 2.8 million, a decrease of 19.2%
compared to revenues of 3.5 million during the first quarter of fiscal
2012.

--Gross margin as a percentage of revenues for the first quarter was 20.1%
compared to 24.3% for the first quarter of the prior year.

--Expenses for the first quarter were 1.0 million compared to 1.3
million for the first quarter of the prior year, a decrease of 23.3%.

--Adjusted Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortization
("Adjusted EBITDA")(1) was a loss of 0.4 million consistent with the
Adjusted EBITDA loss in the first quarter of the prior year.
