TeliaSonera CEO to purchase MegaFon shares worth USD2m

Nov 27, 2012 (Menafn - M2 EQUITYBITES via COMTEX) --Nordic telecoms operator TeliaSonera AB (sto:TLSN) (hex:TLS1V) revealed today that its president and CEO, Lars Nyberg, is planning to participate in the initial public offering of shares in MegaFon.

Nyberg intends to make a private investment of USD2m in the Russian mobile operator, purchasing the shares at the offer price.

In addition to his role at the helm of TeliaSonera, Nyberg is a member of the MegaFon board of directors.

Commenting on his investment plans, Nyberg said that he had a strong belief in the future prospects of MegaFon and this share purchase is a way to demonstrate his commitment to the company.
