Jul 16, 2012 (Menafn - The Bradenton Herald - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) --Alan Galletto has been named top listing and top sales agent for the month of June at Island Real Estate of Anna Maria Island Inc.

Michael McCarthy has been promoted to regional manager for Manatee County for Fifth Third Bank. In his new role, he is responsible for directing financial centers in Manatee County to achieve profit, growth and customer service objectives.

Attorney and certified public accountant Jo Ann Koontz has been appointed to the Human Services Advisory Council, an advisory board for the Sarasota County government. She will fill the vacancy for a certified public accountant.

Bobbie Brown has joined the sales and design department of More Space Place. She has 10 years of home improvement experience in the greater Cincinnati area and South Florida.

Laura Pearson and Tracy Eisnaugle have joined Premier Sotheby's International Realty's downtown Sarasota office at the Plaza at Five Points as sales associates. Pearson has experience in international fashion design as creator and marketer of her own labels. She served as the creative director for Kurfiss Sotheby's International Realty in Pennsylvania in 2002. Eisnaugle spent years as a designer in Sarasota working in high-end residential design, model merchandising and managing a design center for Lee Wetherington Homes.

Take Care Private Duty Home Health Care's marketing communications manager Erika Wise Borland successfully completed the Dale Carnegie Course in Effective Communications and

Human Relations.

The Sarasota-Manatee Jewish Housing Council Board of Trustees new members include Joseph Paul Bornstein, Eugene A. Schiller, Louis Siegel and Alan G. Silverglat. The board sponsors Kobernick Anchin, a nonprofit retirement community in Sarasota.

Duane Cole was the top listing agent and Patricia Baker was the top selling agent during the month of June for Leslie Wells Realty.

Jayne DiGiovanni-Carter has returned to Re/Max Alliance Group in the Manatee Avenue office. She has been an active Realtor specializing in residential and commercial real estate in Manatee County for the past 14 years.

Syprett Meshad attorneys Michael Resnick and Teresa Jones were recently named to the Florida Super Lawyers 2012 list. The group is comprised of the top 5 percent of Florida attorneys. Resnick has been practicing family and marital law for more than three decades and is one of the firm's original partners. Jones is a trial lawyer who has been with the firm since 1986.

Arby Crawford was recently honored with a 10 Years of Service Award from First Bank. Crawford is a branch manager at First Bank's Longboat Key office.

Women's Resource Center of Sarasota County recently installed new leadership at the nonprofit's annual meeting. Renee Hamad was inducted as the organization's new president. Newly elected board members included Kimberly A. Bald, attorney with Harlee & Bald; Robin Serbin, human resources professional; and Ann C. Thompson, attorney with a family-centered practice in Venice. New officers to the board include Dr. Irene Bandy-Hedden, first vice president; Linda Emery, second vice president; Mary Miller, secretary; and Kim Wheeler, treasurer.

Chip Willis is the new executive director of The Lighthouse of Manasota. He previously was the chief operating officer of The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art. He has 26 years of management experience in the hospitality industry. Cliff Walters has been elected board chair of the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art Foundation, Inc. Mike Urette was elected vice chair and Mike Pender treasurer. Michele Redwine was re-appointment secretary. Six members were elected to its board of directors. They include Martin A. Arch, Rebecca Donelson, Kenneth J. Feld, Patricia R. Lombard, John M. McKay and Jane Skogstad.

Vera Sandhu has been hired as the new head teller for the Ellenton Banking Center of First America Bank. She has been in banking for more than 35 years. Karen Brady has been hired as a retail banker/teller floater for Manatee and Sarasota counties. She has 11 years of banking experience in the Manatee/Sarasota area. Kelley Russo has been hired as a teller for the Palmetto Banking Center and electronic document conversion coordinator for the loan department.

Irwin L. Davis has been named senior consultant for economic and community development by Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium. Davis, a resident of Lakewood Ranch, is a nationally recognized leader in regional economic development and urban planning with more than 40 years of experience in New York and wFlorida. He will assist Mote -- an independent, nonprofit leader in marine research and education -- in economic and business development efforts.

Charlie Bingham joined United Systems as a business technology adviser.

Leslie Russell and Mary Moore with Barrier Island Realty are listed as the top two agents in year-to-date transactions on Longboat Key with the Manatee Association of Realtors. Russell was the No. 1 agent ranked by MAR and specializes as a buyer's broker on Longboat Key and Anna Maria Island. Moore was ranked second and she specializes in working with sellers of homes and condos on north Longboat Key and especially Cedars Tennis Resort.
