Income Opportunity Realty Investors reports net income for Q3 2012 over loss last year

Nov 16, 2012 (Menafn - M2 EQUITYBITES via COMTEX) --Income Opportunity Realty Investors Inc (nyse mkt:IOT), a real estate investment company, on Thursday reported for the third quarter ended 30 September 2012 a net income of USD0.4m or USD0.08 per diluted earnings per share, compared to a net loss of USD0.5m or USD0.13 loss per diluted earnings per share for the same period last year.

Interest income for the third quarter was USD972,000, increased by USD429,000 from the interest income of USD543,000 in the same quarter of 2011. Total other income was USD682,000, up from the total other income of USD289,000 in the third 2011 quarter.
