Alaska Airlines starts twice-daily Seattle to Salt Lake City service
Nov 02, 2012 (Menafn - AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION via COMTEX) --U.S. carrier Alaska Airlines ALK said it is starting new twice-daily service between Seattle and Salt Lake City.
These year-round flights to the "Crossroads of the West" are scheduled to begin April 4, 2013, and are available for purchase as of Nov. 1, the carrier said.
Salt Lake City and its surrounding region provide popular outdoor recreational options, including Zion National Park, Alta Ski Area and Snowbird Ski Resort, said Alaska.
To mark the new service, Alaska Airlines is offering one-way fares starting from 99 for tickets purchased by Nov. 8 for travel April 4 to May 31, 2013. Members of Alaska Airlines' Mileage Plan can also earn double miles on the new nonstop flights from April 4 through May 31, 2013. To qualify, customers must first register atwww.alaskaair.com.
Alaska Airlines' new flights will be operated with Boeing 737-800 aircraft, accommodating 16 passengers in first class and 141 in the main cabin.
