RLI announces regular and special dividends

Nov 15, 2012 (Menafn - M2 EQUITYBITES via COMTEX) --The board of directors of specialty insurance company, RLI Corp RLI, approved an extraordinary common cash dividend of USD5.00 per share that totals about USD105m and a regular quarterly cash dividend of USD0.32 per share, the company declared on Wednesday.

Both dividends will be paid on 10 December 2012 to all shareholders of record as of 30 November 2012.

Additionally, the company provided a preliminary pre-tax loss estimate of USD15 to USD20m from Hurricane Sandy, net of reinsurance based on reported claim activity to date, projections are based on its catastrophe management systems and actual losses may differ materially from this initial estimate, RLI stated.
