The trading activity at Bahrain Stock Exchange (BSE) yesterday showed that 1,297,043 shares were traded with a total value of BD596,350 conducted through 111 transactions.
Investors focussed their dealings on Commercial Banks Sector where traded value represented 58 per cent over the previous total value.
Active stocks were National Bank of Bahrain (31 per cent), followed by Bank of Bahrain & Kuwait (15 per cent).
Share prices of the following companies increased: National Bank of Bahrain - up by 10 fils, Bank of Bahrain & Kuwait - up by 15 fils, Ahli United Bank - up by 1 cent, Bahrain Islamic Bank - up by 1 fils, United Gulf Industries Corp. - up by 6 fils, Esterad Investment Co. - up by 20 fils, Gulf Finance House - up by 6 cent, Al Ahlia Insurance Co. - up by 28 fils, Bahrain Cinema Co. - up by 7 fils, General Trading & Food Proc. Co. - up by 12 fils; Bahrain Mari. & Mer. Inter. Co. - up by 2 fils and Bahrain Telecommunications Co. - up by 7 fils.
Other companies maintained their previous closing prices.
