The trading activity at Bahrain Stock Exchange (BSE) yesterday showed that 1,275,220 shares were traded with a total value of BD575,943 conducted through 100 transactions.
Investors focussed their dealings on Commercial Banks Sector where traded value represented 36 per cent over the previous total value.
Active stocks were Bank of Bahrain & Kuwait (21 per cent), followed by Batelco (15 per cent). The share prices of the following companies increased:
National Bank of Bahrain - up by 5 fils; Bank of Bahrain & Kuwait- up by 11 fils; Esterad Investment Co. - up by 11 fils; Gulf Finance House - up by 2 cent; Bahrain Cinema Co. - up by 1 fils and Batelco - up by 4 fils.
However, the closing price of following companies edged down:
The Bahraini Saudi Bank - down by 3 fils; Arab Banking Corporation- down by $1.30; United Gulf Industries Corp. - down by 3 fils; Takafuf International Co. - down by 22 fils and Bahrain Tourism Co. - down by 1 fils.
Other companies maintained their previous closing prices.
