ConsMedia 2 billion deal may be last
Oct 11, 2012 (Menafn - The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) --News Corporation will have little scope for expansion after its A2 billion takeover of Consolidated Media Holdings (ConsMedia). The deal establishes News Corporation as the largest media company in Australia. However, it has no presence in the metropolitan free-to-air TV market. The competition regulator blocked Seven Group Holdings from bidding for ConsMedia, so News Corporation would not be allowed to bid for a TV network.
