BRIEF: Bed Bath and Beyond opens in Silverdale

SILVERDALE, Nov 17, 2012 (Menafn - Kitsap Sun - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) --The new Bed Bath and Beyond in Silverdale is open for business.

The home goods store at 9991 Mickelberry Road NW opened on Wednesday, just in time for the holiday shopping season.

The store is 30,000 square feet, store manager Clark Snyder said. He declined to say how many employees the new store has.If foot traffic the first few days of business is any indication, shoppers are excited to see what the store has to offer.

"There's definitely been excitement in the community," Snyder said. "We're very happy to finally be a part of the Silverdale community."

Snyder said the chain has been looking to locate in Silverdale for a long time.

The store is located in the space formerly occupied by Office Depot in Mickelberry Center. That business closed March 31.
